  • What do you stand for?

I stand for love, freedom and integrity. I believe everyone should live a life that they love. If you love something then you are passionate about it. Freedom is important on all levels. I believe everyone should be able to take vacations whenever they want to, travel whenever they want to, and spend time with family whenever they want to. You should not have to ask a boss to do these things. You should be able to spend you time the way you want to. FREEDOM is important. Integrity is simple. If you want people to be honest with you, you must be honest with them. Do the right thing at all times.

  • What’s your favorite beauty hack?

My favorite beauty hack is coconut oil. I use coconut oil for everything. I use it for my hair, skin, and food. It makes my hair and skin extremely soft. I call it my “golden gem.” I literally stock up on coconut oil at Costco.

  • Where do you want to be in 5 years? 10 years?

In five years I want to expand my business, WisdomToMotivate. I am thinking about making it a media company and continue to inspire, motivate and empower the masses.

  • How do you maintain work/life balance?

I maintain my work/life balance by having a daily routine. It is extremely important to have a daily routine so you can manage your time wisely. I believe it is important to wake up early so you can be productive. I wake up at 6am every morning and go to the gym. After the gym, I get my writing done for my blog. Every day I make sure I write for two hours. After writing, I get emails done and other things I put on my to-do list. When all of that is done (usually by 3pm), I spend the rest of the day with my fiancé or doing things that I have previously planned for that day.

  • Walk us through the step by step process that allowed you to be where you are today?

I love this question! Letting go of fear allowed me to be where I am today. I moved from Alabama to Washington, DC two years ago. When I moved to DC, I was working at a job that I completely disliked. I never enjoyed working for someone else. I don’t like the idea of having to ask someone else to go on vacation or to take a day off. That is absurd. I also knew what my passion was and it definitely wasn’t working for someone else. I decided to take the leap of faith and start doing what I love full-time. That is when I created WisdomToMotivate. I love helping people find their purpose in life and guiding them towards it. It makes me happy to see others happy.

  • If a youngin came up to you asking for advice and you only had a few minutes, what would you say?

Live your life on your terms and do what makes you happy. Don’t listen to what everyone else thinks is best for you. Only you know what is best for you. Live in your truth.
