4 Beauty Habits to Live by

We all have our moments when we are extremely tired because we are just overworked from all the things that go on in our daily lives. With all the pollution and lately the harsh sun rays on the east coast our skin has tolerated a lot and it only gets worse as the seasons’ change. No matter your age it is always great ideas to follow a few do’s and don’t of beauty habits to keep your complexion glowing and your skin free from fine lines, dark circles, blemishes, premature wrinkles. We have created a list of the top 5 beauty habits that we all should add to our beauty regimen (if you don’t do so already).


Remove all makeup.

I’m not really a makeup person, I mean I do wear the basics (mascara, eyeliner, and a lippy) but actually wearing the whole shebang nope I’m lazy. Do I ever beat my face (apply make-up other than the basics)? Yes, on occasions but living the everyday life of Tiffany I don’t. For those who do whether it’s applying the basics or applying everything, it is crucial that you remove all traces of makeup. It’s important that you cleanse the face twice at night (using a cleanser to remove the makeup and then using a deep cleanser to get into those pores) before going to bed to remove makeup. Skipping these steps can lead you to inevitable breakouts and premature aging.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Change your diet.

 

Yes, diet plays a role in maintaining healthy beauty habits. Eating sugar, caffeine and drinking alcohol (GUILTY AS CHARGED) can really take a toll on the body and your skin. We aren’t going to get too crazy and say, “Hey girl stop drinking wine out of your Olivia Pope glass” but what we will say, is everything is good in moderation. So try to just keep track of what you’re putting into your body. It’s okay to reward yourself with an iced coffee, or any of your guilty pleasures here and there but your health comes first.


Exfoliate thy skin.

It’ is very important to get rid of the dead skin on your body (ehh, sounds gross right?) It’s true if you exfoliate your skin it helps with the moisture your skin retains. So keep that complexion glowing ( yasss darling). What I do is keep a pair of the exfoliation gloves in the shower and no matter the soap I use I always exfoliate. If you’re not a fan of the gloves there are tons of different exfoliators out there that you can use.


 Moisturize thy skin.

Moisturizing serum for dry skin is standing in the water, yellow background, pipette with drop, splash.ALWAYS!!! (Yes, I’m kind of sort of yelling at you) moisturize your skin. Just how your need to exfoliate your skin you have to keep it nice and subtle, it’s important. Don’t let society fool you black does crack honey. If you’re wondering why you see so many women in their 50’s and 60’s still looking so young I promise you it’s because they stick to this tip. OH! And don’t forget your SPF the higher the better anyone can get skin cancer.

 

 

 

 

 Sleep.

Lastly, sleep, we all have busy lives and in the time we live in we never get enough sleep. Take some time to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Make the time because after all your heart, body and soul will thank you for it later.
