Who are you and what do you stand for?

I’m just a spiritual being having a human experience, like everyone else, whilst trying to stay focused on embodying love and light in all that I am, say, think and do.

Who in your life was the most influential in leading you to become the person you are today?

My mother. She’s always been a very multi-talented, driven, and determined woman who encouraged others to believe in themselves, and thus, the possibility that anything could be achieved.

“By watching her live so fearlessly, I grew up with the belief that I, too, could be limitless.

Describe your personal style.

My style is ever changing based off of my mood/mindset. If I feel like some bad ass vampire huntress, mystic nature wanderer, or urban street goddess it will reflect that. I never try to confine myself. I just flow between what feels right, when it feels right.

Who or what inspires/motivates you?

Other people following their passion and purpose. In my opinion, there is nothing more inspirational than witnessing someone’s journey towards building their dreams. Nothing more motivating than someone doing what others ‘think’ is impossible and, in this day and age, society believes anything outside of ‘school, work, and die’ is impossible. So I commend, and admire, those who are courageous enough to go wherever their hearts lead them.

What is your morning/night routine?

I wake up pretty early and will just lay there for as long as I can. I use this time to consciously relax, listen to music and let my mind drift before I start my day. If you really listen, you can hear the world wake up at those hours. Birds starting to chirp as light creeps into the room. People beginning to drive/walk by outside. When I’m done ‘centering’, I officially get ready for my day. I try to drink tea and do yoga consistently, but sometimes I have to leave quickly or I just don’t feel like it, and that’s alright. At night, I pretty much do the same. When I leave the house, I’m usually gone the entire day, so it’s nice to come home and again enjoy some down time. I don’t watch tv, so I’ll read if I’m up to it or listen to music again, always love music, and just let my mind unwind before washing/prepping for sleep.

If you came home one day and your living room is filled from floor to ceiling with pineapples, what would you do?

Sell half to restaurants, local supermarkets/corner stores…, and freely give away the rest to whomever would like to have them.

Who are the top 3 people you follow on social media and why?

Amanda Valentine of Red Rum Collaboration because her work is magical! She’s a photographer, as well as a dear friend, and the way she captures people’s essences through her art is phenomenal! She’s one of the kindest souls I’ve met, who sees the world in such a loving pure light, that her images literally feel like you’re viewing life/people through her eyes.

Rupi Kaur– Adore her poetry, simplistic/deep/heartfelt, nough said. If you’re not familiar with her, please go check her out.

I don’t have a singular third, so I’d like to pair it as my close friends @BrieLikeMe & @Jay_Basketball8.

“For the simple fact that I love them and love to see how they’re promoting their victories/dreams/personal styles all while inspiring others to do the same.

How do you maintain work/life balance?

By making sure that my needs (emotionally/mentally/physically/spiritually) come first. If I am not healthy, balanced, and happy, then I can be of little use to anyone else (professionally or personally).

“One of the hardest, but most useful, lessons I had to learn as a woman was to say ‘No’. To not feel like I was being unreasonable or uncaring, but to understand that I have boundaries that should be respected in regards to who/what recieves my time and energy.

There is a time and place for both work and play, and your body/soul will tell you when one area is out of alignment. Listen.

What are some of the causes you stand for?

I could give you a list. At the end of the day, I’m all about equal rights, representation, respect for humanity, love & light. So, any cause rooted in those principles, (without ignoring that of others) I’m for.

Tell us about an embarrassing moment?

I don’t really consider things to be embarrassing anymore but I can share something funny that happened recently…I was filming a web-series in which my character was fighting in a ring. She’s supposed to grab her opponent by the wrist, drop backwards to the ground, propel him over her with a kick, roll backwards and straddle him as the finishing move. Well…I only had a couple seconds of instructions before they asked me to give it a try. I grabbed him, dropped down, pushed him over, went to roll and got caught in my breast (legs over the head most ungracefully). As I proceeded to suffocate myself publicly, I felt my wig slowly sliding off. We collectively died laughing then altered the fight sequence accordingly.

What is your favorite store to shop at and why?

Currently, Barnes and Noble, because I absolutely love books!
